Saddles and Tack For Sale

Lisa loves buying, selling, and collecting saddles and tack. We receive numerous requests
and questions concerning saddle fitment for gaited horses. So she decided to offer some of
the saddles that we have found with rare exception always seem to fit both horse and rider
well. Through the years we have learned many things about gaited horses, most times by
simple trial and error. One thing that always seems to prove true is that you get what you
pay for and that is just a true for saddles/tack as it is for horses, cars, clothes, you name it.
These are all new/nearly new brand names (Dixieland, Circle Y, Crates, Crestridge, The
Tennessean, Reinsman) as it seems you just can't get what is needed from cheaply made tack.
 If a really great pair of leather boots can cost $100-$250, how in the world could anyone
produce a saddle worth putting on your horse for just a few hundred dollars. It truly isn't
voodoo magic to get a saddle that really fits your gaited trail horse the way a saddle should,
to encourage both comfort for all as well as gait. It's only a matter of choosing high quality
tack that was designed around all the basics of building a great saddle, not a cheap saddle.
And don't be fooled by those trying to sell cheaply made, no name saddles for high retail $$.
Each saddle is thoroughly cleaned and then conditioned with Blackrock Leather Conditioner
before shipping and will arrive looking good as new. With your inseam measurement, Lisa
will adjust and pre-turn the stirrups so there will be no strain on your knees or ankles.

The Crates "Original Gaited" Tennessean... Crates Leather Company is one of the superior saddle
makers and this is a Tennessean that was made for National Bridle Company before they changed to a
different maker. Therefore, it has the superior quality and fit that made the "gaited" saddle so popular.
The saddle is built on one of the best fitting "gaited" trees by Steele Tree, Inc. This model has stood the
test of time because it really fits. The 15.5 inch seat is very comfortable a gives a truly balanced ride.

Eli Miller "Custom Made" Gaited Trail... This beautiful Eli Miller was custom ordered/made
and is still in like new condition. It features beautiful border tooling and stainless hardware for a long
lifetime of enjoyment and beauty. The padded endurance stirrups are leather covered and tooled also.
It has a 16 inch seat that has very deep/soft padding for all day comfort in the saddle.

Crates "Gaited" Mountain Horse... This saddle was made by Crates Leather Company for National
Bridle Shop in Lewisburg TN and is no longer in production. It's an exceptionally beautiful saddle with
the rich brown color and contrasting blonde padded seat. The color looks great on Palominos, Chestnuts,
and Chocolate color horses. It will best fit the gaited horse with wide shoulders and some hollowness down
the backline. The 16 inch seat is softly padded and beautifully stitched. These saddle are very rare to find.

Gaited Endurance Trail Saddle... This is a brand new hornless "gaited endurance" trail saddle. It is
made of glove soft leather and is deeply tooled all around the borders. The saddle features many rings, tie
strings, and snaps for attaching all the "necessary" trail gear. The seat is a very well padded, full 16 inch.

Crates Leather Company "Gaited" Saddle... Absolutely one of the best saddle brands available today,
this saddle was designed and built by The Crates Leather Company. This style saddle was the "Original"
gaited saddle built on one of the best trees available -- the "Equi-Fit Gaited Tree" by Steele Tree Company.
It will fit virtually any/all gaited horses out there with good conformation, including the Fox Trotters. The
 narrow center pocket and ground seat provide extra comfort and the 15" seat is softly padded. This saddle
has beautifully intricate tooling on butter soft Hermann Oak leather and the unique conchos finish it out.

16 inch seat. This saddle will look great on your Palomino, Chocolate, and Chestnut colored horse. Built on

gaited horse. Built by Reinsman, one of the industry's leading makers of high quality saddles available today.
The color is Reinsman's new "Rosewood", it will look exceptional on just about any color horse. The leather
is soft and supple, the conchos are gold and silver, and the overall look is beautiful. The seat is a full 16 inch
and is very well padded for superior comfort all day long. The saddle has a nice short skirt which is good for

CrestRidge "Gaited Wade" ... This is CrestRidge's newest model saddle. It fits a horse wonderfully
and you "sit down" into your horse. Lisa's Mojo is often difficult to find a saddle that will not roll when
mounting and some slide back on really steep inclines/pulls. This Wade never moves even without a breast
collar. It is beautifully basket-weave tooled and has 6 black tie strings for a little extra "western touch".
The saddle tree features more surface area of the bars in contact with the horse's back providing maximum
weight distribution which is why it stays "put" on the horse and doesn't slip around. The 16 inch seat is
just the right size for most riders and you'll have a hard time telling this saddle has ever been used.

Dixieland "Gaited Endurance Trail"... This saddle comes with it's original matching headstall, reins,
and "over the withers" breast collar. It is in excellent condition and features acorn/oak leaf plus basket-weave
tooling accented with Montana Silversmith conchos. The 15 inch suede seat provides a non-slip secure seat
and the stirrup leathers have many holes for adjusting the length. The rigging is set up for Enduro style or
regular depending on which you and your horse prefer. The entire set comes at one price. Bit not included.
